The Story Behind BrainStormers
BrainStormers began with a family road trip in 2009. After selling my consulting business, I traveled on a long road trip vacation with my wife and four daughters. To pass the time and keep them off their phones, I challenged them to solve poser and logic puzzles together. I noticed that each person approached the challenges differently—some excelled with words, others with numbers, visual patterns, or logic.
That experience inspired BrainStormers: a team puzzle game that highlights those different strengths together. Luck chooses the category and difficulty, while teamwork and fast thinking help players win.
I’m Chip Rowe, a retired entrepreneur and Salesforce CRM consultant with 40 years of experience solving a variety of business challenges. Now I’m working with a development team to bring BrainStormers online, where families, friends, and puzzle enthusiasts can compete and connect.

Here is the first poser I asked them to solve:
A man gets dressed in the dark every morning. In one of his drawers he keeps 56 black socks and 47 blue socks. How many socks must he pull from the drawer to assure himself of a matching pair?
Answer
3 – He will pull 3 black, 3 blue, 2 blue and one black, or 2 black and one blue.
